DIGITAL RESTORATION

FATS Media Lab. offers a comprehensive media restoration service to digitally repair and restore film, video, audio and still images.

The digitisation process beginswith an evaluation of your assets upon arrival, followed by a gentle cleaning and repair of the original medium where possible. However older material is still subject to many forms of degradation that cannot be removed at this early stage.

Once your original media has been successfully digitised and ingested, we can digitally repair many forms of damage that may have occurred over time such as film dust and scratches, video dropouts and dye faded film.

Our highly skilled engineers will also go a step further in stabilizing the film, removing flicker, fixing film splices and removing many other unwanted artefacts that have been introduced over time.

Audio can also be greatly enhanced with noise reduction and removal of hiss and pops if desired.

Finally for those that want a dramatically changed end product we also offer an editing and colour grading service.

As with our other media digitisation services we can supply your completed files on Hard Drive, USB, Disc or as an electronic file transfer.
